NUMBERS and standards were extremely good at Coniston Cold Young Farmers' Club's 68th annual show.

Paddy Capstick won the overall championship with a British Blue bullock, as well as the beef and cattle trophies, while the sheep championship went to William Throup, of Malham Moor, with a home-bred Swaledale shearling. He also took home the horned sheep trophy.
