KEY stage one children from Horton-in-Ribblesdale and Clapham schools were joined by youngsters from around the area for their first Forest School session.
The children raced from tree to tree and back, gathered leaves and sticks to build homes for hedgehogs and made colourful bark rubbings in the extensive grounds of Horton school.
The visitors were also treated to snacks and drinks in the school hall where they could chat with new and old friends.
Further forest school sessions will be held at Horton today and next Thursday, December 4, from 1.30pm to 3pm, and are free for children aged three and older. They must be accompanied by a parent/care.
