BENTHAM'S May Dairy Day saw a top price of £2,200 achieved for Carkin Seaver Michelle from Robert and Elaine Butterfield, of Bentham.
With an excellent pedigree, the heifer was greatly admired in the show ring and was bought by Mark Hewitt, of Cockerham.
Messrs Hewitt also purchased Cunswick Seagual Chance 42 from Sam Blease, of Carnforth, for £2,060.
Prices reflected current dairy issues, with respectable heifers achieving between £1,350 and £1,750, and averaging £1,545.
