Brougham Street Nursery School in Skipton is celebrating its second positive Ofsted report in just a few months.

The nursery has to have two inspections – a school inspection because it is a maintained nursery school and a childcare inspection because it is on the early years register.

The early years inspection returned a good with outstanding features report in October 2013.

The new inspection, which focused purely on the nursery school, has returned a similar verdict, praising the quality of teaching.

It also highlighted the “high-quality activities” and achievement levels.

In a letter to parents, chair of governors Katie Smith said: “We are very pleased with the report which confirms that Brougham Street Nursery School is a good school with outstanding features.

“As you will notice, the inspector spent a great deal of time observing in the Nursery Class and made an outstanding judgement with regards to the behaviour and safety of pupils. The many positive comments including outstanding elements of teaching are extremely pleasing
