WALKING the plank and pieces of eight were all in a day’s work for Settle Primary School children at their recent Pirate Day.
Everyone dressed up as pirates for the day and the youngsters enjoyed a day of strategic and lateral thinking games on the school field devised by deputy head Alex Macpherson.
Headteacher Richard Wright said: “Everyone had a fantastic day and learned a lot about teamwork and thinking outside the box to solve problems.
“I would like to thank Mr Macpherson for his creativity and hard work in putting together the activities,” said Mr Wright.
