A ‘FUN evening’ organised by the Friends of Burnsall Primary School to mark the start of a partnership between it and Cracoe Primary School was hailed as a great success.
The evening, in the school yard at Burnsall, saw scores of families from both schools take part in lots of activities, with a bouncy castle, penalty shoot-out game and treasure hunt.
Then, over a picnic tea, there was plenty of time for parents and children both schools to get to know one another a little more.
Julie Morton Lee, the newly appointed headteacher at both Burnsall and Cracoe Primary Schools, said: “This is an exciting time for both schools - collaborating together and sharing a headteacher means that learning opportunities and resources are effectively doubled for everyone.
“The fun evening has been a wonderful success and a great way to kick-start what I fully anticipate to be a very successful partnership for both schools.”
