STORYTELLERS from across the world will descend on Settle this weekend.

The town is holding its fifth Storytelling Festival - and the performers come from all five continents.

The programme includes 43 events, many of which are free.

Director Sita Brand said: “The festival is a chance to indulge in extraordinary stories, music, science and ideas."

Officially, the festival starts tomorrow, but local children have been getting a preview with some of early arrivals going into local schools to hold workshops.

Among them was Brazilian storyteller Ana Maria Lines who shared her tales with Rathmell Primary School on Tuesday.
