PUPILS at Thornton-in-Craven CP School have been collecting for Skipton Food Bank as part of their Harvest Festival celebrations.
Acting headteacher Katie Smith said: "We have spent this half term learning about the meaning of harvest and about how we are very lucky to have food, water, shelter and an education.
"The children wanted the opportunity to donate to those in need and we are very pleased to help a worthy cause local to our area.
"There has been an impressive number of donations from the pupils, parents and the community."
