PUPILS and governors of Threshfield Primary School have given a warm welcome to three new teachers - a 100 per cent change of teaching staff since last term.
Clare Oakes, who lives locally and whose children went to the school - one child still does attend - teaches pupils in reception, year one and year two.
She is a former chairman of Threshfield's 'Friends' committee.
Bethany Alexander is the new teacher for children in years three and four and is organising all the sporting events in which the school takes part - including its successful participation in the Schools Cross-Country Championships.
The third new teacher is Richard Cook, who will take years five and six. He has led the introduction of the Lend Me Your Literacy scheme, which aims to raise the profile of writers and writing to the school.
