YOUNGSTERS at Beamsley's Boyle and Petyt School have been inspired by the World War One art installation at the Tower of London.
Called Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red, the installation has been created by ceramic artist Paul Cummins, aided by stage designer Tom Piper, and, by Remembrance Day, a total of 888,246 ceramic poppies will fill the Tower's famous moat.
Each poppy represents a British military fatality during the war.
After hearing about the project, the junior children at Beamsley School decided to create their own sea of poppies and labelled each flower with the name of a local soldier who died during The Great War.
