CHILDREN at an Earby primary school are enjoying new play equipment being provided by Big Lottery funding.
Earby Springfield Primary School, on Bailey Street, received a £9,895 grant from the Big Lottery Fund to install an outdoor play area.
Headteacher Dawn Liversidge said the money was being used to install a wooden balance trail, wooden poles for sports games and other activities as well as outdoor art boards.
"The children love it," said Mrs Liversidge. "The equipment is very good for imaginative play and is multi-purpose in its use."
Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson, who is working closely with the Big Lottery Fund on a number of local projects, said: "To have this kind of continued investment is fantastic news for Pendle."
