PUPILS at Skipton's Christ Church CE (VC) Primary made the most of Friday's solar eclipse.
They followed a live stream online, seeing images from as far as Faroe, Cornwall and Scotland, where a total eclipse could be seen.
Headteacher Simone Bennett said: "Every pupil was also able to use a pair of Eclipse glasses to take a brief closer look - although many seemed a little surprised at how small it was!"
Astronomer Martin Lunn, who writes a monthly column in the Craven Herald said: "An eclipse of the Sun is one of the most wonderful sights in nature.
"This was a partial eclipse from the UK, but wasn't it amazing how many people had the chance to view it? I was very envious; I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"The next eclipse as good as this from the UK will be in 2016."
