UP to 26 children a day enjoyed a fun-packed Easter Holiday Club at Settle Primary School.

The club ran from Monday to Thursday during the first week of the holidays and was filled with a varied schedule of events suitable for all ages.

The children enjoyed trips to The Play Barn, where they were treated to a music workshop, and a walk up to the top of Castleberg where the children enjoyed refreshments with a birds eye view of Settle.

Another favourite was a shopping trip to Booths, where as well as buying ingredients for making their own healthy lunch, the children had a guided tour behind the scenes of the supermarket.

The children were also lucky enough to have visitors, who provided a fun drama group and sports afternoon.

Cath Shortreed, extended schools manager, said: “It was an amazing week. We had a good number of children, which made it so much fun for everyone, resulting in the best holiday club yet."

Plans are already under way for the summer holiday club, where there will be even more fun activities including pottery painting, tennis, outdoor sports and picnics.
