MORE than 141 voters attended a General Election Forum arranged by Churches Together in Settle.

All five candidates were present to answer a range of questions. In some quickfire rounds the candidates were given 60 seconds to comment.

Order and humour was maintained by the Rev Stephen Normanton, minister of St John’s Church, where the hustings was held.

Local issues included the quarry wagons in Settle, social housing and population growth, while national issues covered defence and immigration.
