Thanks to a group of volunteers, Earby Youth Hostel has been given a spring clean and make over.
Nine volunteers from as far afield as Cambridgeshire, and Derbyshire met at the Birch Hall Lane hostel and over three days undertook a number of tasks.
Plenty of elbow grease and litres of paint ensured that the hostel, and in particular the warden’s accommodation, is looking bright and fresh ready for the first visitors of the season.
Another similar session will be organised at the back end of the year and there is always the opportunity to assist the garden work party trying to keep the grounds in a reasonable condition throughout the summer months.
