Manorlands fundraising struck a chord with the Cobbydale Singers.

The choir, formed in Silsden 20 years ago, has presented proceeds from CD sales to the Sue Ryder hospice. The choral music was recorded at several concerts.

A £500 cheque was handed over by singers members Elaine Isherwood and Christine Barrett.

“These are the funds from the sales of the first 100 CDs. They have sold so well we’ve decided to license the sale of another 100 which will also benefit the hospice,” said Mrs Isherwood.

Sue Ryder fundraiser Karen Jones said: “This is a fantastic donation already and if people buy more CDs there will be more to come.” The funds will support our care at the hospice and in people’s homes via our superb community team.”

The choir is also staging a concert, with KVU singers, to support the hospice. The event is at Silsden Methodist Church on Sunday, May 18, at 3pm.
