GTS Performing Arts is moving home to accommodate more students.

From September, it will be based at Skipton Town Hall.

GTS - formerly known as Glusburn Theatre School - was launched in 2006 and met at Glusburn Institute before moving to Farnhill and Kildwick Institute last year.

But GTS director Dev Swan said: "We need more space and, as we are putting on all our shows on Skipton Town Hall, it makes sense to expand there.

"All are welcome to join us, no-one is ever excluded. We hold weekly sessions from 6pm every Wednesday and these include acting, singing and movement.

"All students develop an understanding of how theatre works, the importance of storytelling, sound, movement and character.Performing arts is about about performing so we create public performances."

The next show, The Sound of Music, will be staged in December.

Dev added: "Watch our young people perform and the true magic unfolds - it's great fun."

A small weekly subscription of £4 is paid by each student to cover costs.
