RESCUERS faced two "ewe-dini" acts after going to the aid of trapped sheep.
First, the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue was called out by North Yorkshire Police last Wednesday to rescue a sheep struck on a crag on Simon's Seat above Howgill.
Team members abseiled down the gulleys and conducted an extensive search below the crags but the sheep appeared to have disappeared.
And, the following day, Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation was called out to help a sheep trapped on a ledge at Giggleswick Scar on Saturday.
But, once again, despite an extensive search of the area, they were unable to find any trace of the sheep.
