A WALKER suffered a suspected broken ankle after slipping on the descent from Penyghent.
The 64-year-old man was making his way down Plover Hill towards Foxup Moor when the accident occurred on Thursday afternoon.
Members of his party assisted him three kilometres towards Hull Pot when they were met by a team from the Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation.
Following an assessment by paramedics, the injured man was driven off the hill to a road ambulance in Horton-in-Ribblesdale.
