THE Ingleborough Women's Institute Group Show has been hailed a great success.

It was held at Ingleton Community Centre, which was full of flowers, produce and crafts, and the prizes were presented by Pat Mann, who was one of the judges.

Kath Hewitt, of Clapham WI, dominated the floral art section, winning both the individual points trophy and the Anglesey Rose Bowl for the best exhibit.

Another double winner was Mauricia Aldred, of Ingleborough WI, who won the Burton Trophy for the best pot plant and the Ingleborough Trophy for the individual overall pot plant winner.

There were also two trophies for Margaret Airey, of Giggleswick WI - the individual points trophy for produce and the Maudsley Candlesticks for the individual overall winner in all sections.

In the handicraft section, Susan Ellis, of Ingleborough WI, took the individual points trophy while the Clara Brown Trophy for the best exhibit went to Jeanette Davison, of Horton WI.

The Mason Trophy for the winner of the co-operative class went to Ingleborough WI and the runner up was Low Bentham WI, which received the James Trophy.

Christine Jennings, of Low Bentham WI, won the domestic trophy for the best produce exhibit.
