AS Earby Post Office prepares to move to a new location, a Barnoldswick postmaster is keen to remind residents of the services his business provides.

Earby Post Office will close its branch on Colne Road at 5.30pm on Monday, March 2, and reopen just down the road in Wineline, on Victoria Road, at 1pm on Tuesday, March 3.

During this transfer, residents can use the Barnoldswick Post Office at Frank Street.

Adam Varley, who has been postmaster in Barnoldswick for more than 20 years, added there are some services that the new Earby Post Office will not provide that Barnoldswick does.

"Everything Earby offers, we offer," said Mr Varley. "We also do passport checking services and full foreign currency on demand. The only thing we don't do is driver licences, but you can pick up the forms here."

Although details about the availability of a new ATM at the new Earby branch have yet to be confirmed, customers can use a 24-hour cash machine at the Barnoldswick branch.
