WEST End star Damien Poole will conduct a workshop for year 11 performers as part of an open day at Skipton-based Craven College on Saturday.

He will be at the Aireville Campus from 10am.

Visitors will also be able to see behind the scenes of a live broadcasting hub and see what goes on at the heart of TV and radio broadcasting.

All the college campuses will be open from 9.30am to 12.30pm and will offer a range of workshops and taster sessions.

Other highlights include a "Hacking Electronics and Computer Control" workshop at the High Street campus, which will run at 10am and 11.15am. There, year 11 students will be able to programme robots, make electronics and do weird things with Jelly Babies!

The open morning will also be used to launch of the England Rugby partnership with Craven College’s Rugby Academy at Skipton Rugby Club from 9am to noon.
