Fire crews tackle kitchen fire in Skipton
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a kitchen blaze at a semi-detached house in the Broughton Road area of Skipton this afternoon.
The alarm was raised just after 4.30pm and crews from Skipton and Grassington were sent to the two-storey property on Aireview Terrace.
However, after ascertaining that no-one was trapped, the Grassington engine was turned back en route.
The Skipton crews tackled the blaze using hose reel jets and the incident was closed less than an hour later. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
