THIEVES stole a £3,000 mountain bike from a garage in Kelbrook last week.
A green-framed Kona mountain bike was taken from a garage on Old Stone Trough Lane between 2pm and 7pm last Tuesday.
Police also reported that would-be thieves targeted a Kelbrook business in the early hours of the same day, but fled after an alarm was activated.
Officers said a padlock was snapped on the gates of Robertshaws Garden Machinery Ltd, Eden Works, on Colne Road, and entry to the yard was made by using scaffolding poles to roll away large concrete blocks
The offenders then drove to the main office area and used a flat-bladed instrument to open a metal door, setting off an alarm.
