A CHARITY shop in Settle is in no danger of closing "any time soon", the group's chief executive has maintained.
Roy Aldread, of Skipton and Craven Action on Disability, (SCAD) said that, although volunteers were desperately needed to help run the charity's shop in Settle, it would be staying open for the foreseeable future.
The shop, in Market Street, has recently been closed on Wednesdays because of staff illness.
Mr Aldread said: "People have been contacting us to ask if the shop was going to close but this is not the case.
"We had to close the shop in Ilkley because it was losing money but it is not the same situation in Settle - it is doing well. However, we do need more volunteers urgently."
SCAD, based in Newmarket Street, Skipton, runs lifeline bus services for the disabled and also needs more drivers.
They have to be under 70 and full MIDAS training is provided. For more information, contact SCAD on 01756 701005.
