CRAVEN College is set to offer students a major opportunity to study at one of the country’s best equipped sports and leisure complexes.

From the autumn term, subject to demand, the college’s equine studies will be based at Crow Wood Equestrian Centre – just over the border in East Lancashire.

Course leader Joanna Baxter said: “This is a brilliant opportunity – Crow Wood Equestrian Centre has three superb schools. There’s also livery for 50 horses on site, so students will get to study in a unique location that has a wealth of real life and work experiences. These include a competition environment, gallops, cross country course, state of the art arenas and good transport links.”

“Places on our courses are limited, so I would urge anybody who is interested to get in touch as quickly as possible, so they can study in an internationally renowned sports and leisure complex.”

Besides the opportunity to study in a first class environment, students will benefit from clinics with top trainers including Mat Turner, Joe Whitaker, Kath Pinington, Sue Pimbley, Sarah King-Wells, Patrick Print and Andrew Fletcher.

Andrew Brown, managing director of Crow Wood Leisure, said: “We are really looking forward to working with Craven College – we have a superb facility here and we’d be very proud to see it helping shape the careers of the next generation of leaders in the equine sector.”
