AN organist at a North Craven church has cycled the Way of the Roses to raise money for his church.
Malcolm Spencer, the organist at Holy Trinity Church, Rathmell with Wigglesworth, recently completed a sponsored bike ride in aid of the Church Restoration Appeal.
Malcolm and his son Jonathan cycled from Morecambe to Bridlington, following the 170-mile coast to coast Way of the Roses cycling route.
Holy Trinity has a major programme of repairs planned to replace the roof, restore some stained glass windows and to replace the heating system.
The church has organised a fundraising campaign and support has already been received from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
