BAKERS from West Craven raised £862 for charity by taking part in the Barnoldswick Bake-Off.
"Barnoldswick bakers rose to the occasion," said Jennifer Purcell, who organised the event along with Katie Collins and Mandy McLaughlin. "It was another superb selection of cakes entered in the Barnoldswick Bake-Off."
Prizewinners for the adult cakes were Karen Smith, who took both first and second place, and Debbie Moore, in third place.
The children's competition winners were:1 Isobelle Jesson, 2 Lewis Smith and 3 Lily-Mai Peel.
The school trophy went to Gisburn Road Primary School.
The judges were Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson, Michelle Brown from Patacake Celebration Cakes, on Rainhall Road, Barnoldswick, and Boyce Mitchell from Cafe on the Square, Barnoldswick.
As well as the bake-off, entertainment at the Rolls-Royce Leisure Club was provided by DJ Jay Wright and talented Barnoldswick youngsters Brooke Phipps, Mollie Jesson, Kim Berry, Kelsie McCardle and Amy Colvin.
There were also a surprise visit from Micky and Minnie and Princess Elsa from Frozen.
