RESTAURANT plans for Skipton Town Hall have raised parking and noise concerns from town councillors.
While welcoming plans by Wildwood Restaurants for part of the town hall and neighbouring 17-19 High Street, Skipton Town Council is strongly opposed about making setts at the front into an outside seating area.
It believes loss of the area, currently used for disabled parking, would set a dangerous precedent.
The council, which is due itself to move into the the town hall, believes it could also impact on the historic 'Bishop's Footpath' to Holy Trinity Church.
Councillors have further asked Craven District Council, to impose a condition requiring sound proofing - to prevent noise disturbing meetings being held in the council chamber.
