A HELLIFIELD man will compete in Sunday's London Marathon to raise money for a charity that has helped two young boys.
Andrew David-Leverton, 45, an engineer at Rolls-Royce in Barnoldswick, has decided to raise money for the Brain Tumour Research Society, which has helped youngsters Iuan Bolland of Hellfield and Jack Lambert of Wigglesworth.
No stranger to a challenge, Andrew completed the 910-mile Lands End to John O'Groats charity cycle ride in 2014.
"I'm a cyclist man, so to get picked the first time on the ballot is a bit of a shock," said Andrew. "I'm just hoping to cross the finish line."
