Priory Church: The services on Sunday are 8am communion (said), 10.30am sung eucharist when the guest preacher will be The Ven Paul Hooper, the Archdeacon of Leeds and 4.30pm evening prayer. Each Wednesday, there is a communion service at 10am. All services are BCP. The concert booking forms are now available from 01756 710586.
St Cuthbert’s lecture: The inaugural St Cuthbert’s Lecture will be held in Bolton Priory tonight at 7.30pm. The title is Cuthbert: a Christ-shaped mission and the lecture will be given by Bishop James Bell, who from Easter he will become the first Bishop of the Ripon episcopal area in the new Diocese of West Yorkshire and the Dales.
Friends event: The Friends of Bolton Priory will hold their spring lecture in the village hall tomorrow at 7.30pm. Mike Bevington, who is a Fountains’ Abbey guide, will give a talk on A Walk Round Fountains Abbey. Tickets cost £5 and are available on the door. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
Welcome team: The annual spring meeting of the Priory Guides will take place at Bolton Abbey Village Hall on Saturday. Light refreshments will be served from 10am and the meeting will start at 10.30am.
