YOUNG runners, brothers Tom and Elliott Ashley, are celebrating after being the first Skipton Parkrun regulars to notch up 50 complete runs.
Tom, ten, and eight-year-old Elliott were presented with special anniversary T-shirts at a recent Parkrun event.
Paul Norman, one of the event organisers, said: “Tom and Elliot have been absolutely fantastic, not only running almost every Saturday morning but helping out too by setting out the course and tidying away after the run.”
Skipton Parkrun has been going for just over a year. It is free and takes place every Saturday at Aireville Park from 9am. Those wishing to take part need to register before the run at parkrun.org.uk.
Volunteers are also needed to help out and can contact skiptonhelpers@parkrun.com
