Jousting show marks firm's anniversary
A West Craven company is going back to the Middle Ages to celebrate its 20th anniversary on Friday.
Kelbrook's Euravia Engineering has organised a medieval jousting show, where six knights will compete in a tournament encouraged by the Medieval Minstrel Band.
The celebrations will also include the opening of a state-of-the-art aerospace facility by The Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire, Lord Shuttleworth.
Dennis Mendoros, managing director of Euravia Engineering, said the local workforce had made the company's growth over the past 20 years possible.
He said the firm had always been supportive of the community.
"April 11 will be a celebration not only for Euravia, but also for Kelbrook. We welcome local families to come and see the jousting and medieval programme on the day," said Mr Mendoros.
The event runs from 11.30am to 1pm on the field opposite St Mary's Church in Kelbrook. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
