Tales of a health inspector
A Barnoldswick environmental health officer is hoping to do for health and safety what James Herriot did for the veterinary industry.
Stewart Lewis has published his new book, The Clitheroe Lion and other Tails, about the more entertaining incidents he has found himself in during his career as a health inspector.
Mr Lewis describes the book as a collection of fun tales and stories relating to his career in public health.
"One of the stories comes from a seminar I went to for old people. There was a stall there where people could make sure that their walking sticks were safe to use - it was like a walking stick MoT, so I took that and made a story up around it," he said.
The Clitheroe Lion and other Tails is available to buy now from Alley Books in Skipton, Budgetique in Barnoldswick or direct from Mr Lewies, who can be contacted on 01282 814574.
