Travellers have moved from a station car park where they had prevented rail commuters from leaving their cars and using Northern Rail services.
The group of about 12 caravans and other vehicles left the site off Station Road, Steeton, on Monday.
The families coupled up their mobile homes and moved away at about 2pm after receiving a legal notice earlier that day.
Overseeing the operation were police officers and a representative of the railway company. It is understood the group headed for the Bradford area in convoy.
The families took over the site about three weeks ago, occupying 17 parking places for commuters using the Airedale line between Skipton and Leeds and Bradford.
District councillor Andrew Mallinson, who lives in the village, was pleased by Northern Rail’s response.
“They seem to have gone relatively quickly which is good. These things can drag on a long time especially when family issues have to be discussed,” he said.
“The condition of these areas after they have left is what concerns many people. I think people would be more tolerant if they cleaned up after themselves.”
A spokesman for Northern Rail said a legal notice had been issued to the travellers on Monday morning.
