Little Red Bus changes 'will be minimal'

Changes in bus services run by Harrogate Little Red Bus in the Craven area will be minimal, North Yorkshire County Council has announced.

New community transport schemes began on August 1 following temporary arrangements which were put into place after the closure of services by Craven Little Red Bus. They had been run by Bentham Development Trust, which is now in liquidation.

County Councillor Chris Metcalfe, North Yorkshire’s executive member for passenger transport, said in most cases services would remain the same, but some in North Craven would transfer to the county council’s fleet of minibuses or local voluntary sector providers.

He said: “We are fully committed to enabling people to make the journeys they wish and to maintaining an effective community service in Craven.”
