THE Skipton Royal British Legion is organising a "grand concert" as a focus for this year's Poppy Appeal.
It will take place at Skipton's Holy Trinity Church next Saturday, November 8, at 7.30pm and guests will include town mayor Cllr John Dawson.
Among those taking part will be the award-winning Steeton Male Voice Choir, who will honour the fallen of the First World War, with a programme including Only Remembered from the hit film War Horse and a medley of songs from the period.
There will also be solo items from piper and poet Ken Pickles and the Skipton Royal British Legion Band Flutes.
Tickets cost £8 and are available from John Phillips Electrical, 28 Newmarket Street, Skipton, 01756 748663 or tickets@steetonmvc.co.uk. Some will also be available on the door.
