WHILE Christmas is fast approaching, this week's nostalgia picture takes us back to Bonfire Night.
It shows a group of children in Hebden collecting wood for the village bonfire in November 1967.
It has been loaned by local resident and former Craven Herald correspondent Muriel Hargraves, who recalls: "Collecting wood was a tradition carried out for many years in the village by the boys. Sometimes the girls also helped."
The line-up is, from the left, back - Malcolm Bowdin; front - Shaun Atkinson, Alan Cocker, Michael Hargraves, Stewart Wooler, David White and John Pearson.
