THIS nostalgia picture was taken before the Craven FA Cup final in 1971.
Local sportsman Roger Ingham - who loaned the photograph - tells us the match was played at the Skipton LMS ground and saw Grassington beat Earby 2-1.
The chief guest - pictured second from the left - was former Skipton LMS footballer David Jeanes, who, shortly before the match, won his first international cap for Great Britain at rugby league. And, a year later, he was a member of the Great Britain team, which won the Rugby League World Cup.
He is pictured with linesmen Colin Burns and George Smith, both from Barnoldswick, and the referee Bob Turner, who was also a Football League official, from Skipton.
