SIR - I just had to put pen to paper to say, what a magnificent performance of 'Tunstill's Men' by Skipton Academy at the Grassington Festival.

It was a story to commemorate local involvement in the First World War

It was performed perfectly by staff and students from the Academy. What work must have gone into this re-enactment.

The story of Gilbert Tunstill was wonderfully portrayed by all involved.

It was so realistic and poignant that you actually felt that you were back in time in the First World War.

And quite honestly it lingers with you in remembrance.

Many thanks must go to Dr W Smith, his fellow teachers and all the dedicated helpers for making the two performances so brilliant, and of course to the students and cast.
