Wharfedale make the long journey to the Forest of Dean on Saturday without the services of Aaron Myers and captain Chris Steel, both injured in the first half of the match against Ealing Trailfinders.

But whereas the flanker seems to be needing not much more than some rest, the injury to Steel’s foot is likely to take considerably longer.

In addition to the changes enforced by injury, winger Nick Taylor has a family commitment, his place going to the returning Joe Donkin.

Matt Clark continues after his strong showing against Ealing. In the pack, Alastair Allen returns, Mark Tampin replaces Steel and Adam Mason gets the nod over Mark Howard; Dan Solomi starts in place of James Tyson, who takes a well-earned rest on the bench.

Coach Tom McGee is determined to get the side once again on the front foot. “We know what to expect at Cinderford, and I believe that we are in with a good chance of surprising them.”
