Hodge aims to be a Superstar

Hebden rowing star Andy Hodge will feature in the revival of the BBC programme Superstars on Saturday.

The double Olympic gold medal winner is among 16 Olympic heroes who competed in eight events – 100m and 800m runs, javelin, 50m swim, archery, kayak race, cycling hill-climb and gym tests, at Bath University.

The field includes Olympic 5,000 and 10,000m champion Mo Farah, boxer Nicola Adams, triathlon stars Alistair and Jonny Brownlee and Otley cyclist Lizzie Armitstead.

Hodge said: "Rowers have a good record in the event and I want to do well."

Gabby Logan will present the show on Saturday, between 6.45-8.15pm on BBC One.
