Hebden’s Victoria Wilkinson was the first lady finisher in Boxing Day’s Chevin Chase –a race won by world triathlon champion Jonny Brownlee.

Wilkinson, representing Bingley Harriers, was 29th in a time of 46min 24sec as she came home almost three minutes ahead of the second lady, Donna Edmondson-Booker of Idle.

Jonny Brownlee took first place for the third successive year to keep his family's domination of the event going.

He and his Olympic gold medal-winning brother Alistair – who didn’t run this time – have now won the race in seven of the past eight years.

Jonny completed the saturated course in 39min 03 sec and finished 51 seconds ahead of his nearest challenger, Danny Hallam.
