Silsden beaten by basement boys
4:10pm Sunday 3rd March 2013 in Sport By Ian Whiting
There was more trouble for Silsden in the North West Counties League as the Cobbydalers were sucked closer to the danger zone following a 3-2 defeat at rock-bottom Stone Dominoes.
Silsden were chasing the game from the seventh minute after a Dwayne Spence shot was parried by Cobbydalers keeper Ed Hall but the rebound went in off defender Danny Husband.
The visitors got back into the game midway through the first half when James Nanji-Ngoe chipped the onrushing keeper.
Silsden briefly went into the lead ten minutes later when Mike Garrod scored after a run into the box.
However, five minutes later the basement outfit were back on level terms thanks to a screamer of a free-kick from Luke Robinson and Dominoes claimed all three points with Spence firing home ten minutes from time.
