Barlick coast to victory at Blackpool

AFC Blackpool 1 Barnoldswick Town 3
Town scored three times in ten minutes to secure a welcome Premier Division victory on Tuesday night.
Bill Williams, Kieran Lee and Sam Howell were the men on target as Barlick ended their run of three defeats despite falling behind to a 12th minute goal.
Town made two changes from the team that lost to Runcorn on Saturday.
Lyle Davy deputised in goal for Billy Carrington while new signing from Kieran Fletcher from Padiham replaced Chris Ridehalgh in the back four.
The home side almost went ahead after seven minutes when Shane Hull slipped the ball wide of Jake McEneaney to Mitchell Newsham who lifted a shot over Davy and just above the bar.
It was a similar move that brought the opening goal five minutes later.
A quick Blackpool counter attack saw Grant Dell fire in a great shot from inside the penalty area across Davy into the far bottom corner.
Town nearly equalised on the half hour, a quick raid down the Blackpool left saw Neil Stansfield deliver a cross along the six-yard line, but Samuel Howell failed to connect with the goal beckoning.
Town looked more composed on the ball in the second half and exerted good pressure. Kieran Lee hit the crossbar from 30 yards equalising in the 58th minute before Williams powered home a header from a free kick.
Five minutes later Town took the lead. Howell’s shot was palmed away by the diving Jamie Scott and Lee smashed home the rebound from a tight angle.
In the 75th minute Town wrapped up the points. Danny Morton stepped over a cross leaving Mark Threlfall with a clear chance.
The substitute scuffed his shot goalwards where Howell quickly pounced and fired past Scott to give Town a two-goal lead.
