Wilsden Athletic edge out Embasy in Northern Plant Hire Trophy

Goals for Ben Lowry (2) and Alex Conroy were not enough as Embsay crashed out of the Northern Plant Hire Trophy after a 4-3 defeat at Wilsden Athletic.
Earby Town moved six points clear at the top of the Mastab's Craven League Division One after a 5-2 win at second-place Pendle Rene- gades.
It was level at 1-1 at halftime before Town broke clear. James Holmes (2), Joel Howard, Jack Palmer, and Paul Oldroyd were their scorers.
That result saw Grassing ton United claw back ground over Renegades after they beat Hellifield Sports 4-1.
Robert Elliot scored twice with Jeremy Gee and Paul Wright adding further goals in a win that takes them two points off second with three games in hand.
Scott Hanson’s goal was mere consolation as Silsden Whitestar went down 4-1 at Chatburn.
Cross Hills Reserves miserable start to the season continued as they suffered their tenth-successive defeat, 10-0 against Division Two leaders Colne.
Earby Town Reserves also went down to a crushing 5-0 home defeat to Ingrow and Worth Valley.
The result sees Skipton remain four points off top and three points behind Bingley Town in third, who beat Bradley 6-3 with Robert Watson getting two goals in consolation.
First half strikes from Ryan Mirfield and Kevin Toland saw Rolls Reserves take all three points at second bottom Skipton LMS Reserves.
Jack Schindler (2), Robert Smithies, Adam Steventon, Jonathan Brewin and Allan Hayward got United’s goals, with Callum Mulloy scoring Cowling’s consolation.
Daniel Lambert and Matthew Johnson’s goals were not enough as Settle United Reserves were edged out 3-2 away at Grindleton Reserves.
Meanwhile, in Division Four struggling Barnoldswick Barons were far from disgraced as they lost out to promotion chasing Pendle Renegades Reserves 1-0.
