Barnoldswick Town produced a dominant second-half performance to record a comfortable win over the North West Counties Premier Division new boys at the Silentnight Stadium on Tuesday night.
There was little hint of what was in store as half-time was reached with the teams level at 1-1. Harry Thompson's 17th minute goal was cancelled out by Steven Settle's 36th minute equaliser.
A burst of three goals in nine minutes midway through the second period put Town in control as Matthew McNamara (59min), Anthony Pollard (66min) and Bill Williams (68min) all netted.
Matthew Zajac pulled a ggoal back for the visitors in the 78th minute before Mark Threlfall rounded off the scoring by converting an 83rd minute penalty to seal Town's win.
