Oakworth's revival falls Flatt as they lose leadership

Thanks to Brannan Lawn's 46, they were 94-5 chasing 127 for victory at Crossflatts, but the last five wickets fell for 21 to leave Oaks the losers by 11 runs.

'Flatts themselves struggled against tight bowling by Michael Scarborough (4-12), Adam Smith (3-35) and Steve Filkin (3-40), only Feyaz Akram (43) and Abdul Majid (31) offering much resistance.

The Cure Hill side were 9-3 before Lawn's impressive innings but Jim O'Hara (3-12) and Alex Bradbury (3-23) punctured the revival.

Ingrow St John's are third after beating Cowling at Street Lane. Babar Khan hit 96 in the Saints' 185, with Graham Rishton taking 3-35.

The latter followed this with 45 as his side fell 18 runs short of their target, with Nadeem Safdar bagging 5-49.

Bingley Congs won a high-scoring game at Riddlesden by 65 runs.

Neil Copping (57), Matt Roberts (44) and Chris Dibb (41) helped the Beckfoot side to 272 as Habid Haslam took 5-105.

The Grange Road side were then dismissed for 207, with Mohammed Qadeer making 49 as Copping claimed 6-46 off 15 overs.

Will Burgess scored 117 of Haworth Road's 201 at Haworth as Damian Rowell and Richard Ellis took four wickets each.

The Bronte side then had no answer to Muhammed Zahid's 6-27 and were all out for 100.

Embsay, for whom Dave Wellock made 65 and Duncan Ward 56, lost with four balls to spare at home to Barrowford.

Sutton are top of Division Two after winning a run-filled encounter at home to Wilsden.

Colin Bottomley (78) and Dave Henson (70) helped the visitors to 225-6 but the Royd Hill side roared back with 226-7 in 43.2 overs, led by Dave Snowden (80), Chris Williams and Si Doane (34 apiece) and Andy Kay (30no) as Chris Mitchell took 4-74.

Previous leaders Glusburn lost for the second week running, going down by 67 runs at Hainworth in another high-scoring game. Ingrow smashed 273-6, with Mark Price hitting 97 and Luke Ellis 77. The Park Field side closed on 206-9, Steve Brown top-scoring with 50.

Long Lee entertained Bradley and won by four wickets. The Matthew Lane side made a modest 123, of which James Heseltine scored 53 as Dave Collins took 4-16. The hosts had Matt Taylor make 62 not out as Heseltine took 4-26.

Next-to-bottom Hepworth & Idle travelled to Denholme and enjoyed a 111-run victory.

The Westfield Laners managed 211, with Mark Saunders making 61 not out, Tim Shackleton 57 and Craig Edwards 36. The Bradford Road side could only muster 100 in reply.

Bottom side Barrowford II slumped to defeat yet again, this time at home to Sandy Lane.

Mark Oldfield (37) was the mainstay of the Greenwood Park side's 122 but the Bull Holme side struggled to 68 all out, with Raj Farooq taking 5-30 and Jimmy Dennison 3-7 off ten overs,

Chatburn enjoyed a 69-run victory at Oakworth II. The Ribble Valley side made 152 as Lewis Wrathall took 5-21 and Michael Davison 3-7. The Cure Hill outfit were then knocked over for 83, with Wrathall scoring 33.

Cononley came within one lusty blow of beating Division Three leaders Gargrave.

The Skipton Road side made 169, with Joe Wood scoring 53 and Joe Metcalfe 40 as Herbie Starkey took 4-33.

The South Craveners were 138-4 and looking comfortable but suffered a collapse and ended up on 166-9. Tim Starkey made 66 as Metcalfe took 3-18 and Ted Wilman 3-22.

Airedale go second after they beat Haworth West End at Penistone Park and Pendle Forest lost badly at Haworth Road II.

The Bronte side made a creditable 189-8 with Dale Walsh (61) and Danny Peel (46) leading the way as Wayne Coppack took 4-57. Matthew Cox made a superb 110 not out to lead the Keighley side to a comfortable five-wicket victory in the 33rd over.

Down at Baildon Bottom, Shahid Mahmood (91) and Adam Cook (37) helped Haworth Road II to 253-7. Pendle Forest put on 67 for the first wicket and then collapsed to 98 all out as Matthew Bailey took 3-14 and Cook 3-36.

Skipton CI posted 184-8, with Martin Seward (50), Ian Henderson (43) and Jon Sharpe (34) the main contributors. Bradford & Bingley III had little answer to Sam Smith, who took 7-53 to have them back in the hut for 98 (Andy Dobson 42).

Embsay II travelled to Wilsden II and amassed 232-7, with Bob Bateman making 88 not out and Neil Robinson 50.

The Royd Hill side crashed to 19-4 and never recovered, being 103 all out. Opener Neil Jagger made 33 from 88 balls as Elliot Stockton took 4-32 and Stephen Speak 3-19.

Thornton II took on Ingrow St John's II at Cracoe – because of the village fete on their ground. The Saints walloped 220, R Ali making 81. The Booth Bridge Laners made a gutsy reply, reaching 205-5.

Second-placed Eldwick & Gilstead tackled leaders Riddlesden II at Aire View in Division Four.

The hosts rattled up 184-8, with Stephen Timperley scoring a super 100 not out. He followed this with 6-59 off 20.3 overs to restrict the Grange Road side to 157. Eldwick & Gilstead leap-frog Riddlesden II to go a point clear.

Foulridge II struggled at Airedale II. They could only manage 124-9 in their innings as Mark Allcock finished with 4-14 from five overs. Trevor Cox (44no) and Steve Hunter (39no) took the hosts to a six-wicket victory.

Jack Harrison (54), Neil Spencer (43no) and Callum Gerrard (40) were instrumental in Denholme II reaching 179-4 at Bronte Fields. In reply, Oakworth III slumped to 106 all out, with Paul Carter top-scoring with 36 as Cameron Foster took 4-44.

Glusburn II smashed 271-7 at Bingley Congs II. Matt Lloyd, returning to cricket after a long-term injury, hit a superb 123 to go with Iain Beattie's 49 and Pete Schofield's 34. Bryan Hollis then took 5-35 as the Beckfoot side closed on 92.

Hepworth & Idle II have moved quietly up to fourth spot after a hesitant start. They restricted hosts Crossflatts II to 146-7, Bryan Freimanis carrying his bat for 60.

The visitors found themselves 54-4 before Martin Cully (47no) and Dale Wood (43no) took them to the points.

Haworth II pulverised Ingrow II by nine wickets at Hainworth. Dave Walsh (5-28) and Will Yildiz (4-25) knocked the home side over for 89. Adie Ratcliffe led the successful reply with 63 not out.

Six teams are covered by three points at the top of Division Five.

New leaders Chatburn II entertained Sutton II and won by six wickets – but Gargrave II dropped to second spot after losing by 36 runs to a resurgent Bradley II at Matthew Lane.

Daniel Horne (74), Andy Holmes (64 and 5-54) and Harry McGowan (4-47) performed well for the winners, while Ben Wood made 59 and Ben Howlett 35 for the losers.

Cowling are third after receiving three points when Haworth West End II were unable to raise a team.

Cononley are fourth after a 31-run victory over Skipton CI II at the Coulthurst Ground. Richard Mansell made 57 in the hosts' 146-7, with Paul Smith and Robert Suter taking three wickets each. In the reply, Sam Hunter made 29 not out as Jack Hatton claimed 4-21.

Finally, Long Lee II received three points following Sandy Lane II's inability to field a team.
