THE first week’s fixtures produced a goal bonanza with 145 being scored in 23 games across the four divisions.

There were 32 goals in the Premier Division, 41in Division One, 32 in Division Two and 40 in Division Three.

In the Premier Division the scoring plaudits went to Trawden Celtic as they defeated Cowling 7-1. Ben Gorman netted twice as his side swept to victory.

Champions Skipton LMS pipped Grassington United 4-3 and finished with ten men after Ollie Hunter was red carded in the closing minutes

The battle of the two newly-promoted clubs went the way of last season’s Division One champions Settle United. They defeated Earby Town 4-1 with Pedro Quintas (2), David Worthington and substitute Mark Laughlin scoring the goals. Adam Hartley netted Earby’s response.

Liam Garbutt netted twice but ended up on the losing side as Rolls went down 4-2 to Cross Hills. Scott Hanson (2), Andrew North and Ben Dewhurst netted the decisive goals.

Cononley opened their campaign with a 4-2 win at Embsay. Strikes from Robert Kaminski, Liam Malloy, Stephen Pearson and Lee Thompson sealed the points.

Although the goals were flying in elsewhere, Wilsden and Grindleton shared a goalless draw.

The Division One clash between Silsden Whitestar and Bingley Town produced ten goals with White Star winning 6-4.

Newly-promoted Skipton Town saw off Ingrow & Worth 5-2 with Liam Cartman scoring twice, while Bradley recorded a 6-1 win over Cononley Reserves with Robert Watts (2) leading the way.

Gargrave defeated Hellifield 4-2 thanks to goals from Ben Brown, Cameron Hodge, Gary Lofthouse and Tom Varey, while Dale Denham and Ben Dakin replied. Two goals from Matt Blackwell helped Rolls Reserves to defeat Chatburn 3-1

The highest scorers were Grassington United Reserves in Division Two. They thrashed Skipton LMS Reserves 8-2 with veteran striker Adam Steventon scoring a hat-trick. Jan Ozdoba, and Ben Gorman netted two each, while Graham Hunn was also on target.

Cowling Reserves saw off Sutton Reserves 8-2 in Division Three, while Horton defeated Addingham 6-3 with Frank Jackson (2), Nick Cokell, Steve Marsden, Dan Sharp and Danny Richardson scoring the goals.

Matthew Bowler netted a hat-trick as Pendle Renegades Reserves beat Ilkley 5-0, while newcomers Barlick Wanderers went down 5-2 to Cross Hills Reserves.
