Wharfedale coach Jon Feeley wants his players to work on the basics when they visit Otley for their final warm-up game on Saturday.

The Greens were beaten 17-12 by Stourbridge at The Avenue on Saturday and Feeley was disappointed by his team's core skills.

He said: "Our passing, handling, catching, kicking and tackling all need improving.

"We were unable to work our way through the phases and build up the pressure because we made silly errors.

"It is important that we get these aspects of our game right. The National League One season is a week away and we have to tighten our game up at Otley.

"It should be another good test for us. They pushed us hard in the Yorkshire Cup final and we need to step up from last week."

The Stourbridge game did have its plusses with young forward Tom Burridge catching the eye with his ball carrying and Harry Bullough adapting well when given a chance to play at stand off.
